Mount St Joseph Retreat House
has long enjoyed a reputation as one of Malta’s largest and
most popular retreat centres.
Our House extends a welcoming atmosphere of serenity
to all its visitors, with direct sunlight pouring into its halls.
It is surrounded by lovely grounds containing some magnificent trees
and various Mediterranean flora. Quiet walkways and seating areas
around the gardens provide a welcome break from the hectic pace
of modern working life.

Chapels
A sunny chapel on the first floor is the ideal venue for
prayer and liturgical celebration and comfortably seats 100 persons.
A smaller chapel on the ground floor offers a more intimate setting
for smaller groups.

Prayer Room
The prayer room invites you to spend time in individual prayer
and reflection .

Conference Room
Mount St Joseph's Conference Room seats over 100
persons and provides a comprehensive range of audio-visual facilities.
A lovely terrace overlooking the gardens adjoins the media room.

Meeting Rooms 
Apart from the main Conference Room, a selection
of other rooms is also available for different occasions, from small
private meetings to larger conferences. Eight bright and airy rooms
varying in size to accommodate different needs – two large
discussion rooms equipped with audio-visual facilities and seating
over 80 people, three meeting rooms suitable for groups of ten and
three smaller parlours for one-to-one guidance and counselling.
The Meeting Rooms provide ample space for a range
of different meeting layouts. The house’s extensive grounds

Other Rooms and Facilities
There are two dining rooms in the house. The main
dining-room is brightly lit, with warm sunshine streaming in for
most parts of the day. Food is freshly prepared by a dedicated staff
and individual dietary needs can also be catered for. A separate
dining room caters for visitors on silent retreats providing an
atmosphere of recollection during meal times.
The spacious foyer allows for the reception of
guests, coffee and tea breaks and together with the two upper landings
for leisurely encounters and quiet reading. |

Accommodation |
The bedrooms have been recently refurbished and have en-suite
shower and toilet facilities. All rooms are twin-bedded and can
accommodate up to 78 persons in total. Rooms and
facilities are available for wheelchair-bound persons. There is
no single supplement on accommodation.
Booking information
The Retreat House tends to be a very popular venue for retreats
over the winter weekends, especially at Christmas and Easter. Early
bookings are highly recommended. Booking rates and related information
can be obtained from the Administration Office.
Special needs
Upon booking, kindly inform us of any special dietary or other
needs: for example, if you are vegetarian or need a low-salt diet;
or if you have limited mobility.

Getting There
Local Bus Routes: 
Bus no. 47 to Golden Bay passes through Targa
Gap after leaving Mosta on its way to Mgarr. There is a bus-stop
further up from the Retreat House. Alternatively buses nos. 43,
44, 45, 49, 50, 52 and 58 pass through Constitution Street, Mosta.
There is a bus-stop at the end of the road. A short walk up the
hill brings you to the House’s entrance gates.
The public bus service on Malta and Gozo is a
good way to get around. Buses on Malta serve the major tourist areas
and on Gozo go practically everywhere. The house has ample parking
space for visitors cars.
