Why have Jesuits from all over the world gathered in Rome?

Sunday 2nd October marked the beginning of the 36th General Congregation since the founding of the Jesuit Order, where a new Jesuit Superior General will be elected, and decisions will be made for the way forward for Jesuits worldwide.

With the proceedings now well underway, here is a quick resumé of what has happened so far, as well as an invitation to pray with the delegates each day and reflect (via Paul Pace SJ's blog) on how this event touches even our own lives.
