Newly ordained Mark Cachia SJ celebrates Thanksgiving Mass

Newly ordained Mark Cachia SJ celebrated his Thanksgiving Mass on Saturday June 30th, in a packed church at St Aloysius' College, Birkirkara surrounded by fellow Jesuits, family and friends.

During his sermon, Fr Mark drew inspiration from Jesus' attentiveness to the outcast woman healed when she touched His tunic (Gospel: Mark 5:21–43) - she was poor, she was sick, she was an outcast, invisible to all but Jesus, and a reminder to us to see and attend to the unnoticed, the poor, those today considered least 'valuable'.

It was an occasion for joyful thanksgiving and celebration, following Fr Mark's ordination to the priesthood on Friday morning at St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta. (See images from Ordination below, photos by PhotoCity, Valletta)
