Catholic Social Teaching

The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice in collaboration with the Archdiocese Pastoral Formation Institute is offering a series of lectures and a seminar on the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church. All are invited to register for this fifth module of the Higher Education Award in Catholic Social Teaching. (Since the modules are self standing new participants may apply) 

This module will commence on Wednesday 19th January 2011 at the Sala San Pawl, the Catholic Institute, Floriana between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. The remaining lectures will be held on the 26th January, 2nd , 16th February, and a half day seminar on the 12th February


The following Themes will be dealt with:

  • What is Social Analysis; The Pastoral Cycle of Social Analysis and the issue of Poverty;
  • Analysing the issue of Social Policy ; Analysing the global/local economic structure;
  • Analysing democratic politics
